“Everything I make is free. On purpose.”

I’m a person with MS, a caregiver activist, a best-health journalist, a musician, and a wheelchair and crutches user. I’ve been publishing for years: conversations, musings, and videos about navigating health and care as a human being — not a diagnosis, not a billing code.

My audience is all of you navigating a crazy, complicated system, and those listening and informing you. The people who most need this content are often the least positioned to pay for it. So I don’t charge.

What I do instead is rely on people who find value in the work and have the means to help keep it going.

Here’s how.

The best thing you can do costs nothing

A warm, personal referral to a crony or two is worth more to me than any algorithm. If Health Hats has been useful to you, tell someone who’d find it useful too. Phone, email, text, DM — personal contact is ideal.

Keep independent, open work going

A few times a year, someone who believes in the work makes a contribution — one-time or recurring, whatever feels right. No tiers, no locked content, no subscription pressure. If that’s you, I’m grateful.

Your support helps me keep producing three short pieces a week, host monthly open conversations, and occasionally share music — all of it free, all of it open.
